Alice's Diary day1- An adventure begins
Mom and I have just arrived in Littleroot town, Hoenn. The movers are
settling us in, so after talking with my mom I decided to look around the
tiny town. I heard some cries for help and some kid near me told me that
there was a man being attacked by a wild pokemon. I doubted that I
would be of any help, but I ran to the man's rescue and grabbed a
pokeball from his bag like he instructed me while trying to fend off the
menacing poochyena. I let out the pokemon. It was an adorable mudkip! I
ordered it to attack and it listened without hesitation. I felt so proud! The
poochyena ran away and the man got up, covered in scratches and dirt
and thanked me. It turns out that he's my dad's friend and the region's
main pokemon professor. I would have never guessed.
I followed him back to his lab where he put on a cleaner lab coat and told
me that I could keep the mudkip. I called it Fin right away, and took off to
show mom. Mom was surprised and then I was off again. I ran a few small
errands for Prof. Birch and agreed to a battle with Brendan, the prof's
son and my neighbour too. We won without any trouble. Fin made lettuce
out of that treecko. So when that was done I headed back to the pokemon
center to rest and relax before going further from home, when relaxation
was over (and my smoothie inhaled) I left town. Lucky for me footprint
boy moved out of my path.
Now that I had pokeballs I was ready for some action. A zigzagoon crawled
out of some bushes and right across my path. She was mine in an instant
and I called her Coonie. The three of us worked our way slowly past more
grass and other rookie trainers such as myself and made it to petaburg,
home of my dad's gym. I stopped by to see dad and was just in time to
find him talking to a green-haired kid about my age. Without even a
"hello" or a "How is your mom?" my dad asked me to go help this kid catch
his very own pokemon using one of my dad's zigzagoon. We ventured out
to the town's limits and a little ralts approached us. The kid, whose name
is Wally caught it pretty easily. I like this kid, he seems sweet. Proud and
happy, we marched back to my dad and gave back his pokemon. He fed us
some supper and then Wally headed to his own house. My dad set out a
cot in the back room and Coonie, Fin and I settled down for the night. As
I write this, both of them are curled up beside me. They're so cute
together.
Alice's Diary day 2- Seeing the real world
I woke up pretty early the next morning and had breakfast. Dad was still
sleeping so I just left him a note saying I was already on my way to the
next town. Just as I left town we ran into a wurmple. Excited, I caught it,
but just afterwords a kid challenged us to a battle. That poor wurmple
never saw his taillow coming and the others were to weak to switch in and
save the day. We barely got away and I headed back to petalburg and
buried the little guy next to dad's gym before resting at the pokemon
center. Eventually we headed back out and right into the petalburg woods.
I found a silcoon just sitting in some branches and caught it, hoping
things would be better this time. I named the little guy Silky and the four
of us moved onwards..right into some trouble. A tough guy in a funny red
outfit was harassing a business suit guy about some goods. I did what I
felt was right and stepped in saving the day. I eventually figured out this
guy was from a group who called themselves Team Magma. I ignored him
and he decided to leave after his swift defeat. The business suit guy
thanked me and gave me an cool new pokeball as a token of his gratitude
before also leaving me.
I followed the path they took, past a few bug catchers and made it out of
the woods. I had a picnic lunch with my pokemon just outside the
flowershop. A curious wingull swooped in on our little meal attempting to
steal food and instead ended up joining the team. Coonie and Fin were
pleased to meet Silky and the newly caught Gulli. It wasn't long before we
eventually (after a few more battles) made it to rustboro and checked into
the pokemon center. Once the check-up was complete, we all decided to
take a walk around townI guess you could say it was a big place. It had a
corporation building and a school and even.. a gym! We rushed inside and
battled the lesser trainers that come first. Gulli was battling amazingly,
but one of the apprentice trainer's geodude crushed her with a heavy rock
attack. She gasped for breaths before finally stopping as I scooped her up. I
was in shock. Fin came to the rescue and avenged her. He wiped out the
rest of the gym and earned me my first badge from Roxanne. I should
have been excited and happy, but instead tears rolled down my cheeks as I
made my way to the grass facing the sea. I chose a nice spot and buried
my little Gulli.
Before I could recover I was nearly trampled by that same business guy
who must be working for Devon and a Magma grunt who was running
ahead of him. Being as I am, I took chase. I caught up with the Devon guy
just on the edge of town. He was all out of breath and asked me to help
him get the stolen goods back. I felt sorry for the guy and rushed after the
Magma man. While running I nearly tripped over a whismur in the grass. I
caught her and called her Whisp. We caught the guys, saved an old man's
wingull named Peeko and brought the goods back to the Devon worker. I
was tired and ready to take a break, but the guy wanted me to meet his
boss. Why not? I followed him and met the president of the Devon
corporation. He thanked m in person and gave me a brand new pokenav
(Yay free stuff!) before asking me if I could deliver a letter to his son in
dewford. I was planning on going there anyway so I agreed.
A nice long walk back through the woods led me to the old wingull man's
door step. It looked as if he had the only boat around. Lucky for me he was
so happy about me saving his beloved Peeko that he offered to ferry me for
free. We sailed through the waves with ease. The pokemon enjoyed the boat ride
so much. They really liked feeling the ocean air on their faces while racing
towards Dewford. We arrived and I thanked the man (Mr. Briney) for the
ride. We venture off in search of Mr.Stone's son, Steven in order to
deliver our letter. Fin was in he lead pouncing on any rock that so much
as looked at him funny. It took us a while but we entered Granite cave. I
was really hoping to find a cool pokemon like an aron or something, but a
makuhita challenged me before we could go very deep. With a little effort
he was caught and named Muku. We found Steven, handed him the letter
and aimed for fading sunlight. We made it to the pokemon center just as
it was getting dark and checked in. I was able to get a nice room and
the pokemon and I passed out on the bed almost immediately. It had
been a long day for all of us.
